Product Introduction

Disk feeder is also called a disc feeder, it is accessory equipment of transportation machinery, which is commonly used for feeding medium and fine-grained (fine ore below 20mm). It is suitable for feeding all kinds of nonviscous materials, but it is not suitable for powdery materials with good fluidity. This kind of feeder is widely used in mining, metallurgy, coal, cement plant, placer, mechanized casting workshop, building materials, chemical industry, and other departments. The disc feeder is suspended on the steel structure and installed under the hopper for continuous feeding.

The disc feeder manufactured by JXSC Mine Machinery Factory has a compact structure. The disc feeder is mainly composed of motor, reducer, feeding disc, lining plate, blanking sleeve, scraping plate, retaining ring, frame, etc.

Motor: Asynchronous motor, DC motor, and speed regulating motor available. Right/left driver optional.
Feeding Disc: 1. The allowable deviation between the disc center and the bin center is ≤ 5mm. 2. The disc surface must be horizontal, and its allowable deviation shall be ≤ 0.5mm/m. 3. The clearance between disc and blanking sleeve shall be within 25 ~ 30mm.
Lining Plate: The disc lining materials include zg40mn2 manganese steel lining plate, diabase lining plate, and steel plate material plate.

Blanking Sleeve: The inner wall is provided with a lining plate made of a wear-resistant 16Mn steel plate and fixed with countersunk bolts.

Scraper Plate: It is made of ordinary carbon steel and lined with a wear-resistant 16Mn lining plate. The installation angle can be adjusted and fixed with bolts. The gap between it and the disk surface can also be adjusted appropriately (15 ~ 25mm).
Retaining Ring: It is assembled and welded by a steel plate and profile.
Material Opening Design: The feeding port of the disc feeder is composed of a receiving sleeve and an adjusting sleeve with adjustable height under the receiving sleeve. The materials fall from the receiving sleeve to the adjusting sleeve, then leak out from the gap between the disc and the adjusting sleeve, and are scraped off the disc by the scraper. The purpose of adjusting the feeding amount can be achieved by adjusting the gap between the adjusting sleeve and the disc and adjusting the position of the scraper. The size of the receiving sleeve and the size of the adjusting sleeve are determined by the hourly feeding amount of the disc feeder and the radius of the disc. The adjustment of the sleeve height is mainly driven up and down by the rotation of the threaded rods fixed on both sides of the sleeve.

Working Principle

Bulk materials are loaded into the receiving cylinder from the hopper. The materials are stacked on the disc by their own weight along the wall of the receiving cylinder. The natural stacking angle of materials on the disc can be controlled by adjusting the gap between the sleeve and the disc with adjusting bolts. The motor drives the reducer to make the disc rotate evenly. The material is evenly scraped out of the disc by the unloading knife on the disc so that with the rotation of the disc, the material is evenly scraped into the receiving hopper by the unloading knife. The continuous operation of the disc completes the uniform feeding operation. Adjusting the clearance between the discharge knife and the disc can also control the feeding amount. During operation, the motor drives the disc mounted on the worm reducer to rotate through the belt pulley.
