Impact crushers are mainly used in secondary crushing, and can crush material with a maximum compression strength of 320MPa. These crushers are widely used in the fields of metallurgy, mining, cement, chemicals, refractory, ceramics and other industrial sectors, as well as highway construction, water conservancy projects and building rubble.
Main Components
The Impact crusher is made up of: the frame, main shaft, rotor, blow hammer, impact rack, impact liner, protection liner, flywheel, feed opening and discharge opening.
When the impact crusher is operating, the motor drives the rotor to rotate with high speed. The rotor has several hammers installed on it which also rotate at a high velocity. These hammers interact with the slower moving material feed, which then rebounds off the liners and back into the crush zone for secondary breakage. This process is repeated until the material is crushed to the required size and then discharged from outlet. The material then passes through the crusher and onwards throughout the processing circuit. Due to the nature of the vertical orientation of the crusher and the wide feed mouth, a greater reduction ratio can be achieved.
