The processing of Tin / Cassiterite includes crushing, screening, pre-selecting, flotation and gravity separation. The specific processing method is selected according to the raw materials of tin ore.

Tin / Cassiterite Processing Method
Tin ore is usually processed by gravity separation, which is determined by the fact that the density of tin ore is higher than that of associated minerals. However, iron oxide minerals such as magnetite and hematite are often associated in tin ore, so it is impossible to completely separate the ore only by gravity separation. Therefore, magnetic separation and flotation will also be used in tin ore plan.

The processing method of placer tin ore is similar to that of placer gold, gravity separation method and equipment are used. The method and equipment of gravity separation can obtain good beneficiation effect, and it has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection, small equipment investment and low operation cost. So gravity separation is an ideal choice for the processing of tin placer. For placer tin ore with high monomer dissociation, beneficiation is basically the same as that of placer gold ore. Better beneficiation indexes can be obtained through simple screening and washing. For the low degree of monomer dissociation of tin placer ore, rod grinding and other processes are often needed to break the intergrowth structure in order to improve the recovery and concentrate grade.

2.Screening → Jigging → Rod Mill → Jigging → Dehydration

Generally the technological process of gravity separation of placer tin is the first one. For the placer tin ore with low degree of monomer dissociation, it often needs to go through two gravity separation processes, the flow is as the second one.
