Thickener
Inclined pipe energy-efficient thickener (classifier) is a kind of efficient settling and concentrating (grading) equipment researched and developed by our factory on the basis of summarizing working principles, features and superficial settlement theory of traditional peripheral (center) drive thickener, which features small volume, little land occupation, no power, few investment, low use cost and high settling and concentrating efficiency and is applicable to pollution discharge treatment of metallic and nonmetallic ore dressing plants, building materials, chemical industry and so forth; it is extensively promoted and applied to rare and precious metal ore dressing plants like tungsten and tin in recent years
Pulp or other liquid to be treated is fed from feeding area to settling and concentrating area to form relatively dynamic balance suspension process at the area. Large particles in the pulp are filtered through suspension filter bed in settling and concentrating area as their settling final velocity is so large to overcome impulse force of water flow and later they are quickly settled and discharged from the bottom discharge port. Small particles unable to overcome impulse force of water flow settle down and enter inclined pipe area together with ascending water flow. The inclined pipe area is filled with hexagonal thin-wall porous inclined pipes by certain angle to divide water flow into several settling units. Fine particles entering the inclined pipe area come onto wall of the inclined pipes under hydraulic settling conditions of laminar flow and glide to the settling area under the effect of gravity after accumulated to some quantity. According to design requirements for handling capacity of particle sizes, fine particles that are not settled down in the inclined pipe area will be discharged together with overflow to realize grading and settling process.
