Operation Principle of Jaw Crusher laboratory rock crusher
The lab jaw crusher mainly consisting of machine body, eccentric shaft, jaw plate and adjusting mechanism transmits power through triangle belt to the connecting rod that drives movable plates to crush materials. The discharging granularity is adjusted by adjusting nuts, screw, top plate seats and sliding seats.
The laboratory jaw crusher body is welded by 12-16mm iron plates. Its front wall is mounted with jaw plates and its rear wall with springs and locknuts and both sides are installed with liner plates and above the side plates, two sliding bearings are installed to support the eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft is supported inside the hole of sliding bearing and its lower part is connected with the adjusting mechanism via the toggle plate.
The adjusting mechanism mainly consists of adjusting nut, movable part, crossbar, adjusting bolt, etc. It mainly functions to adjust and control discharging granularity in a way of rotating the nut to let the bolt drive the moving part to rise or fall and make the plate seat drive the bolt to move via the movable part with the help of spring so as to achieve the purpose of regulation and control.

The jaw crusher is mainly used for various rocks or ores of medium hardness and is the important equipment in lab and test lab in the industries of metallurgy, geology, building materials and chemical engineering. It can be used also for ore crushing production in a not large scale.

1.The installation base of the machine body must be secure and level to prevent rupture of the machine body as a result of uneven stress.
2.It is a must to check whether fastening screws are tight before commissioning and turn the belt pulley manually to check whether it is flexible. In case of any abnormality, it shall be eliminated before commissioning.
3.Commissioning must be no-load commissioning. It is necessary to turn the small hand wheel during the no-load commissioning to check whether the adjusting mechanism is flexible. It can be used if no abnormal phenomenon is happened half an hour after the commissioning.
4.The hardness of crushing materials shall preferably not exceed medium hardness in order to prevent accelerated damage of parts and loss of service life.
5.Installation height of the complete machine can be properly increased during the installation for the sake of easy discharge.
